Work - Related Concerns

Many people have concerns about their work. They are overly stressed, underachieving, underpaid, overly criticized, stuck in dead ends, and chasing after promises their employers will never keep. People wonder if they could make changes and stay in the same job, if they need to change jobs, or if they need to get into a whole new line of work.

Many people want to do some self-improvement to achieve higher career or job goals. Some wonder if their personalities are a good match for their work, or if there could be a better alignment between what they are tackling and their personalities. One common example is a person who assumes a lot of responsibility, who is great with ideas, but who has trouble pulling things off. In contrast, some people are great with tactical details, but can run into problems of seeming to be inflexible. In both cases, talented people are being frustrated at not being able to meet demands of their work.

The world of work is a frequent concern of people I see in my practice. There are assessment and treatment options to help bring clarity into a person’s view of their work and improve their work satisfaction.
